♥ OLYMPICS
THIS IS THE OLYMPIC SEASON!!!!!
Ok, as usual the news seen from my posts are slower than the original speed. But though olympics have only 7 days left, the excitement is barely dying down. In fact, i can never find a dull moment when watching it. Every moment those super power like humans are doing some absolutely amazing things. This is especially so when i am just such a glutton, eager to see people train and perform their ass off while i munch on my snacks. =P
The only down side of this year's olympics, is that it is in London's time!!! As i am stuck in Singapore, studying my head off, staying up at 2 am to watch the most thrilling table tennis isn't so practical isn't it? I've squeezed in as much time as i could to watch it already!! Such a pity that by the time my holidays arrives at 23rd of August all will be over!!! One of the amazing thing about watching the world's biggest sport's event is that it takes so much effort to watch the sport's men and women get through everything as well!! Feng TianWei, Singapore's greatest hope for medal winning, is as my sister and i believes, have a side line as an entertainer. Her matches are the most intriguing, far more exciting than action pact movies. Instead of finishing off each match with just 4 rounds with her awesome smashes, it often drags on to 6 rounds or a full 7 rounds. Every single point was fought for, and she seem to put in all of her energy for each smack of the ping pong ball. Just watching her makes us tired too! Certainly not for the weak hearted!
There have been much argument about her achievements, such as Singaporeans not being too happy about a China-born sport's woman helping us to earn medals, and she having the privilege of holding the Singapore flag during the olympics' opening ceremony. Nationality wise, i have to agree it does not seem appropriate for yet another immigrant, who have just became a Singaporean a few years back to have the privilege of holding the flag when Singaporeans are not happy with the current immigrant rate already, to represent us. But judging from her achievements and medals, and that she finally end our medal drought, she is up to mark. No matter which side of the argument might, i am just happy to watch the rare, once in 4 years olympics. =D
